Our Philosophy
Inspired by the garden to-kitchen movement in the culinary world, we set out to visualize our relationship with our skin. We wanted every organic ingredient in every Back to Herbs LLC creation to be put there by our very hands.
Why? Because our skin lets in nearly seventy percent of everything applied to the surface. That’s seventy percent of all the bleaches, artificial fragrances, aluminum/alumina, sulfates, silicones, steroids, and petrochemicals found in mass-produced skincare.
That’s why we started to formulate products that works specially for very sensitive and allergic skin to that seventy percent made with synthetic chemicals. Working with our hands on individual products is not easy but the outcome is excellent due to the retaining of all the nutrients and vitamins needed to produce skin care that gives natural beauty. With a mortar and pestle we concocted new alternative cremes, high end soaps, shampoo bars, lotions and alternative solutions to help the true master chemist (the liver), without any artificial additives.

Our Story
Propelled by her passion in chemistry and combined with her curiosity and amazement about how ancient women maintained their beautiful skin in the past without the use of chemical formulas, Pam has set out to rediscover the power of natural skin care. To that end, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and combined her passion and experiences to attain a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in her products.
In 2014, she set her sights on the world of skincare and body care. Unhappy with the offerings of mass-produced products, she knew there had to be a better way. After four years of searching for products to help her hand eczema that she suffered since she was in elementary school, she discovered a groundbreaking skin formula to combat her eczema. She then launched Back to Herbs LLC in 2019 quickly expanded to a full suite of skincare creations.
She now lives in Saint Louis balancing married life, church, work, gardening, chickens, and dog care.
